Kevin Michael Libertone Lombardi
The founding director of YSI, Kevin is a DC-based professional and medical researcher. His work utilizes large databases to inform clinical practice in US Emergence Departments. He has been published in Annals of Emergency Medicine the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine and presents regularly in national and international meetings on subjects ranging from point-of-care ultrasound to the homelessness epidemic. Kevin is in his 4th year of Medical School at The George Washington University.
Tony Bistine, MD
Dr. Bistine is a Leogane-based Physician and patient's rights advocate specializing in family practice and emergency medicine. He received his MD from the prestigious Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, Cuba. He is also the medical director of the Lopital Medical de l'urgence de Darbonne, YSI's affiliated hospital.
Marie-Flore St. Fleur
Marie- Flore is a native of Leogane, specifically the Pont Morel neighborhood where YSI is headquartered. She was one of the hundreds of thousands of Haitians displaced by the January 2010 earthquake and provides her colleagues with an inside-perspective regarding the impact of our work on local people. Through her work at YSI, Marie hopes to counter the overwhelmingly negative portrayal of her country in US media by showing our American volunteers how beautiful her country is.
